This guide will walk you through the steps to integrate Cycognito findings into the Nopsec Platform

Creating a Read-Only API Key in CyCognito

To create an API key with strictly read-only permissions in the CyCognito platform, you can generate one directly from the API Key Management dashboard and explicitly set its access level during creation.

Step 1: Navigate to API Key Management

  • Log in to your CyCognito platform account.
  • In the left-hand navigation menu, click on Workflow & Integration.
  • Select API Key Management from the available options.

Step 2: Generate the Read-Only Key

  • Click the + (Plus) button or Add API Key to initiate the creation process.
  • In the Key Name text box, enter a descriptive name for the application or service that will use this key (e.g., Read-Only Assets Dashboard).
  • Locate the Key Access (or permissions) section, and select the Read only option.
  • (Optional) Set an expiration date for the API key. If you set an expiration date, ensure you have a process in place to rotate and refresh this key before it expires to prevent service interruptions.
  • Click the Create button.
  • The platform will generate and display your new API key.

Important: Immediately copy the API key and store it in a secure location, such as a password manager or secrets vault. CyCognito only displays this key once; you will not be able to retrieve or view it again after closing the window.

Step 3: Enable The Cycognito Integration in Nopsec

  • Navigate to Integrations in the NopSec UI and select the option to add the Prisma Cloud Integration.
  • Enter Integration Access Info: When prompted enter the following information and click the "Save and Connect" button
    Connection Name: Unique name for this integration
  • Token: The authentication key generated in the previous steps.
